Light lacing. Aroma is light caramel malt and citrus hops. Flavor is mostly citrus hops. The beer is fairly bitter. Could use a little more malt character. Light to medium body. Decent beer. Aroma is big of caramel, and some candi sugar. Toasted malts and toffee there as well and some pine. Flavor is interestingly sweet with a good amount of toffee, caramel, candi sugar, and some citrus and pine at the finish. Medium body with light carbonation. Easy to drink. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 24, 2008 June 2007 - Deep amber color with smallish head, little to no lace. Odd sweet malty flavor. Same oddness in the flavor, don’t know what it is. Sweet and bitter, pretty good, actually. Very unique brew...worth having. Nice mouthfeel. JB175 (1664), Bucks County, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 28, 2007 Reddish amber color with an off white head. Aroma is sweet with caramel, toffee, bread, and some piney/citrus hop essence. Flavor is caramelly/bready, candyish, and mildly-medium hoppy - all without being too medicinal. Sweet maltiness and mild hoppiness goes well together, but not quite incredible. For the style its damn good. OSLO (828), Minnesota, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 28, 2008 Courtesy of Nate. Pours a hazy burnt cider amber color with a small foamy off-white head. Nose of sweet malted caramel, fermented apples, some prune, and a mild earthy hop character. Taste lacks some of the malt character in the aroma. A really nice crisp hop edge with some caramel and fruit undertones. A nice thickish mouthfeel but not a lot of carbonation. doubleo (1121), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 27, 2008 Pours a murky light brown color with a thick, somewhat frothy off-white head that laces the glass as it subsides. I smell raspberries and other red fruits. I also get faint malt smells. Tastes of fruity malts and some hops. Lots of red fruits and berries in this brew. Tastes good. Pretty standard palate, almost a little metallic up front. Subdued carbonation, a bit thick. Not the best red I’ve ever had, but good.
