22oz bottle - Pours a clear, deep ruby red color with medium sized tan head that dissipates rather quickly to leave a bit of lacing. Aroma has fair amount of creamy caramel, toasted hazelnuts, vanilla, along with a touch of citrusy hops. Flavor is a bit fruity/citrusy, with caramel, mild biscuit notes, bit of orange and pear, faint citrusy hops, with a slightly sweet but balanced finish. A decent brew, wouldn’t mind having again, but wouldn’t go out of my way to seek it out either.

Reddish colour with a beige head. Sweet malty aroma with fruity and vague toffee notes. Malty, sweet flavor with a light hoppy grassy note.

On Tap at Hollingsheads, Orange, Ca. Poured a nice amber color, with decent sized head. Plenty of hops in this one, might have been better with a bit less, to focus on the malt, overall a solid brew.

Bottle. Light garnet color with a frothy ivory head. Somewhat malty aroma with an almost Belgian yeast dynamic. Very estery with slight banana notes. Dusty and dry. Hoppy but not excessively bitter. Caramel maltiness with tome toffee notes. Very dry finish.

Clear copper with a tan head. Spicy herbal hop and caramel malt smell. Smooth mouthfeel. Decent flavors of lightly sweet caramel malt and bready yeast with a nice bitter herbal hop taste to finish. Tastes a lot like FS Amber. Not too bad. 597

(Bottle 65 cl) Clear, amber golden with a small, off-white head. Fresh and slightly fruity nose. Medium body with lightly sweet caramel notes. The finish is dry with a citrusy touch. Plain and solid. 170607

Pours a clear, crimson tinted amber. Orange hues at the edges. A thin, off-white head dissipates slowly but fully. The aroma is of citric hops, mellow and agreeable. Very light toast is also noted, along with low but noticeable alcohol, caramel, light spice and vanilla bean. The flavor is very nice, also quite soft. Caramel malt leads the charge, followed immediately by hops and more soft spices. Finishes lightly sweet, then mildly drying, bitterness lingering briefly. The mouthfeel is crisp, soft, mildly carbonated and smooth. Tasty, though not very memorable.

Appearance: Pours a clear, dark amber body with a wispy, off-white head. Smell: Altogether light aroma of dark caramel with notes of grains and citrus. Taste: Sweet dark caramel that’s soon scrubbed away by a moderate bitter and a touch of acidity. Spicy, citrusy hop flavors (though more spice than citrus). Hint of grains. Finishes dry with a tea-like bitterness. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Very slight stickiness to the mouthfeel. Drinkability: It’s okay. If you’re looking for a decent amber ale then this will scratch that itch.
