ratman197 (2174), Arvada, Colorado, USA May 9, 2008 Bomber poured a clear dark reddish brown with a lasting tan head. Aromas of cocoa, carmel, nuts and toasted malt. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of carmel, cocoa, toasted malt and light nuttiness with a smooth malty finish.
Ale_Drinker (1049), Sunnyvale, California, USA Jul 14, 2008 Pours deep brown, brilliantly clear, large, lasting, off-white head. Aroma is rich roasty malt. More rich roasted malts dance on the tongue. Body is medium. No bitterness or hops detected which is fine. Nicely crafted. hopscotch (4379), Vero Beach, Florida, USA Jul 13, 2008 Bottle... Clear, dark brown ale with a large, frothy, khaki head. Small, creamy, everlasting retention. When held up to light, copper/ruby hues are revealed. Rich, hearty aroma provides chocolate, tropical nuts and a hint of vanilla. Full-bodied with a whole-milk mouthfeel and lazy carbonation. Nutty, malty, chocolaty flavor with a whisper of coffee. Medium sweetness, modest bitterness and light acidity. Finishes well-roasted, balanced and lightly tangy. MakeItDrinkIt (50), Portland, Oregon, USA Jul 11, 2008 Deep dark mahogany color with a thin light-brown head. Aroma is coffee and roasty grains, a touch of chocolate. Flavor is like starbuck’s coffee beans - a bit astringent from the over roasting. This beer is also a touch nutty, and not sweet at all. Finish is a bit of lingering dry astringent-ness... douglas88 (610), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA Jul 6, 2008 Bomber bought at the Utah State Store. Pours a dark brown body with a thick and creamy beige head. The aroma is mostly coffee and rich malts. The taste was full of caramel, roasted malt, some sweet coffee and fruit, a touch of tobacco and some nutty flavors. Very nice. Easy to drink and smooth as hell, yet flavorful. elelwarren (130), SF Bay area, California, USA Jul 3, 2008 I really enjoyed this brown. Aroma generic brown maltiness, & molasses. Mouthfeel superbly smooth. Flavor quite three-dimensional, with a long earthy middle. I enjoyed.
