Bottle. Dark golden pour with a small white head. Has a nice hop aroma, though its a little faint. Nice flavor with a good sweet malty base and a clean hoppy bitter finish. Very drinkable beer.

Dec 27, 2009 bottle, pours light carmel with a medium off white head. Aroma is light pine with some grassy notes. Really pleasant carmel malt notes balanced with a light hop bitterness. Highly drinkable.

Nov 26, 2009 Bottle from the Kroger on Lamar. Light amber pour with a white head. Floral hops, vegetatation, and nut aroma. Taste is malts, dry hops, cigarettes, and caramel. Mouthfeel sucks and doesn’t go away.

Nov 11, 2009 Bottle… Pours clear and amber with a small, creamy, white head. Good retention. The aroma is earthy and meaty – raw beef. Medium-bodied with modest carbonation. Like an English pale ale, this beer leans on the sweet side of balance. There’s some peppery, spicy bitterness within, but not quite enough to balance the toffee and caramel sweetness. Oct 22, 2009 Appearance: Pours an amber yellow clear gold with almost no head.
Aroma: A nice mixture of dry malts and earthy/citrusy hop. It’s not huge, but it’s noticible.
Taste: Bitter earthy hops, dry malt, metallic hop notes, and a fruity twang in the finish.
Mouthfeel: Thin and metallic.
Overall: Not one of my favorite American Pale Ales. It’s a tad too bitter for me.
