| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Dec 29, 2009 12oz bottle. Pours a bright, clear orange / copper color; off-white head with a solid perimeters of miscellaneously sized bubbles; deep, bold color here. A highly floral aroma, a touch vegetal even; reasonably dry, modestly bitter, but this just seems a touch off to me. Medium mouthfeel: this becomes very floral and earthy in the mouth: pleasantly juicy bitterness, a solid round and non-astringent hop character; a light core maltiness of orange-tinged sweet malts and toastiness; very drinkable pale ale once you pull it past your nose; maybe this bottle is old?, but that doesn’t quite catch the vaguely vegetal notes I’m getting in the nose; in any event, it tastes good, highly drinkable overall. Medium finish showing nice earthy bitterness and wet malts and some pleasant toastiness. ttutony (105), Texas, USA

| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 9/20 | Nov 26, 2009 Bottle from the Kroger on Lamar. Light amber pour with a white head. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 11, 2009 Bottle… Pours clear and amber with a small, creamy, white head. Good retention. The aroma is earthy and meaty – raw beef. Medium-bodied with modest carbonation. Like an English pale ale, this beer leans on the sweet side of balance. There’s some peppery, spicy bitterness within, but not quite enough to balance the toffee and caramel sweetness. Mid-length, bittersweet finish. Bottle courtesy of otakuden!
