kyzr (910), Bozeman, Montana, USA Jul 7, 2008 Pours a copper with nice off-white head. Hoppy and citrus nose. Flavor is hoppy all the way with just a tad of malt to give it some balance. Nice mouthfeel with a dry bitter finish.
DYCSoccer17 (2012), Davis, California, USA Aug 28, 2008 22 ounce bottle purchased at the Davis Food Co-Op. Aroma is initially sweet, but it fades a bit and becomes a little more herbal, but it still has some citrus aromas present. A little ethanol retronasally, but all in all, this is pretty aromatic stuff. Mildly have copper-orange body with a nice, strong off-yellowish head present.Well, very straight forward bitter bitter medicinal hop flavors. Becomes a bit grainy and burnt in the middle. Finishes long, dry, and just a puckering bitter. I don’t know what kinda hops they used for this, but they impart a medicinal, tylenol-ish flavoring. The dryness of this beer just magnifies that. Definitely not enjoyable. argo0 (6167), Washington DC, USA Aug 28, 2008 (22oz bottle, thanks CaptainCougar) Medium off-white head atop hazy amber body. Aroma is medium sweet, orange, floral, light grapefruit, dusky. Taste is medium sweet, grapefruit/orange, pine. Medium body, light chalk. JMFG (1117), Florida, USA Aug 27, 2008 Clear golden color, thin white head. Citric hop aroma is moderate in strength. The taste is much less hoppy and more grassy than I would have anticipated from the aroma. The hop finish is pretty weak. Dubbercody (166), Vancouver, Washington, USA Aug 25, 2008 22 oz bomber.
Orange hazy color, Dry hop flavor that strips the tongue. Leaves a clean hoppiness.
Quite dry finish. It’s not my favorite style, but for a hopheads, it’s super. kmweaver (1973), Takoma Park, Maryland, USA Aug 24, 2008 22oz bottle, courtesy of CaptainCougar. Thanks, Tom! Pours a hazy, orange-amber color; thin, light-tan head with solid fine-bubbled lacing. Lots of mineral and citrus bitterness in the aroma; pretty, straightforward, bitter hop character. Medium mouthfeel: lots of chewy, bitter minerals and citrus hoppiness; solid levels of carbonation; reasonably drinkable and solid hoppiness; tasty, clean hoppiness. Medium finish: dry citrus and mineral hop bitterness throughout; reasonably dry.
