AgentSteve (831), SF Bay Area, California, USA Jul 21, 2008 Pours an attractive deep mahogany with a full, tan, frothy head that leaves substantial lacing. The nose is interesting, with floral and pine hops, but also an herbal funk to it. The flavor is also unique, with a decent shot of caramel sweetness along with that same funk that’s in the nose. Smooth on the palate.
alexanderj (1338), San Diego, California, USA Oct 5, 2008 On tap at the San Diego Brewing Company. Rich orange in color with a milky, off white head. Aroma of fruit, orange/citrus, caramel and earth. Flavor of toffee and caramel up front, with some grassy/earthy/citrus hopping in the finish. Decently bitter for the style. Lingering flavor. A solid, but probably average, version of the style. bu11zeye (3777), Frisco, Texas, USA Oct 1, 2008 (22oz. bottle) Pours a lightly hazy orange body with a small off-white head.
