Pours an attractive deep mahogany with a full, tan, frothy head that leaves substantial lacing. The nose is interesting, with floral and pine hops, but also an herbal funk to it. The flavor is also unique, with a decent shot of caramel sweetness along with that same funk that’s in the nose. Smooth on the palate.

Oct 5, 2008 On tap at the San Diego Brewing Company. Rich orange in color with a milky, off white head. Aroma of fruit, orange/citrus, caramel and earth. Flavor of toffee and caramel up front, with some grassy/earthy/citrus hopping in the finish. Decently bitter for the style. Lingering flavor. A solid, but probably average, version of the style.

Oct 1, 2008 (22oz. bottle) Pours a lightly hazy orange body with a small off-white head. Aroma of citrus, biscuit, and peach. Flavor of caramel malt and hops (pine, floral, grassy) with a bitter finish.

Sep 26, 2008 22oz bottle shared courtesy of Josh. Poured a medium and clear amber color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of fruitness, floral, and some caramel. Tastes of the same fruitiness, caramel, floral, and some pine.

Sep 25, 2008 Thanks to Josh for sharing this one. Pours a lightly hazy amber with golden notes and a medium creamy/bubbly off white head. Aroma was floral, pine, mixed citrus, bready, caramel and a light nuttiness. Flavor was practically a match of the same.

Sep 25, 2008 Poured a clear amber color with a small, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of pine, citrus, floral hops, caramel malts, and tropical fruits. Taste of citrus fruits, toffee malts, toast, light pine, and flowers, with a dry, lightly spicy, hop finish.
