[Bottle, thanks Guerde!] Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma is very nice. German chocolate cake (Eben nailed that one), along with coconut and brown sugar. The taste is harsh, acrid roasted malt, bourbon, and a little bitterness. Pretty thin with an alright finish. Overall the aroma on this was good, but the taste was a huge letdown.

Bottle shard by Crosling. Poured a deep brown/black color with a moderate tan head that diminishes to a ring. Aroma was dominated by bourbon. Aweet vanilla and chocolate maltiness leads into a spicy bourbon and woody finish that dries the palate. Pretty nice, but very young. A bit of mellowing may bring out some more characteristics that improve the overall flavor profile.

Bottle shared at the Cleveland tasting. Aroma was very woody. Taste was bourbon, black coffee, some chocolate and a hint of fruity sweetness...

Bottle. Nose full of bourbon and not much else. Black with a thin off-white head. Good chocolate and bourbon flavor with lighter notes of roastiness. Creamy with good carbonation that breaks up the sweetness.

Bottle, thanks to Kan. Shared with Katie, this one shows off the barrel quite nicely. Black center pour with clearer edges and a temporary bubbly beige head. The nose has a strong bourbon tone that is nearly overpowering, but is also well complemented by notes of smoke, vanilla, molasses and brown sugars. Chocolate and roasted malt tones dominate the flavor base, which is immediately followed up by the bourbon and oak. The robust oak wood character is one of my favorites about these types of brew. Finishes syrupy and no signs of oxidation and medium carbonation.

Pours a velvety black from the bottle with a faint attempt at a brown head of foam. Loaded with bourbon, vanilla, bubble gum, and licorice on the nose with flavors of dark cocoa, mild coffee, and dark fruit in the taste. Highly viscous and potent, but a little thin in body.

2008 bomber, with thanks to both BlackForestCO and kyzr - appreciate it guys! Pours a deep, dark brown with a foamy dark tan head, nice lacing. Aroma is milk chocolate, oak, bourbon, vanilla, molasses, and light espresso. Flavor wraps everything up nicely with melted chocolate, vanilla, molasses, and a complimentary oak/bourbon presence. Well done, and a great nightcap to a cold evening!
