t4h2c0 (47), seattle, USA May 5, 2008 Damn this beer is smooth for a bourbon aged porter. Pours dark as night with a small amount of off white head. Slight burbon notes come thrugh in the after tastes. Had it on cask the other night and I thought it was smooth before, god damn this is buy far one of the best cask beers i have ever had, smooth as fuck with an explosion of awesome sweet roasty boozy flavors!!!!!!
zeke626 (181), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA Jul 17, 2008 Bottle, thanks to Guerde for sharing. Pours a deep, dark brown with brown head. Aroma is mainly bourbon and cocoa with a hint of oak. Flavor is not as strong as the aroma and consists of bourbon, rich chocolate, roasted malts and tobacco. Mouthfeel is light for the style. OSLO (590), Minnesota, USA Jul 16, 2008 [Bottle, thanks Guerde!] Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma is very nice. German chocolate cake (Eben nailed that one), along with coconut and brown sugar. The taste is harsh, acrid roasted malt, bourbon, and a little bitterness. Pretty thin with an alright finish. Overall the aroma on this was good, but the taste was a huge letdown. decaturstevo (1124), decatur, Tennessee, USA Jul 13, 2008 Dark bronw pour with fomay off white head and lace. Caramel malt and light spice on the nose. Medicine, coffee and abv. Just a hint thin but pretty solid palate. Nice imperial porter. daknole (514), Plantation, Florida, USA Jul 9, 2008 OMG this is an amazing beer. Black pour with a brownish head.
