From a 22oz. bottle poured into a Trappist glass at 42°. Color is a clear golden with low carbonation and very little head. Starting with a nice medium body it goes down creamy with an almost thick feel. Finish comes out sweet with flavors of banana, apple, honey and pineapple then a spicy clove, hops and yeast with a light bitterness. After taste is still sweet with the alcohol showing a little then it goes almost bland with the bitterness being the last thing left. Overall this is a very well done Belgian style ale with complex rich flavors and nice Belgian yeast notes.

22 oz. bottle. Vintage 2009. Pours a thin short lived off white head, with minimal lacing, over a hazy, golden SRM 7) body.......nose is light lemon, clove, coriander......taste is pear, apple, mild pineapple, finishing with light hop tartness and spice.....mouth feel is medium, carbonation high, alcohol nicely hidden. This is a reasonable example of a Belgian Golden Strong Ale It is not as spicy as a Triple nor as sweet, and the alcohol is not as hot..

Pours a clear golden orange color with lots of effervescence and a topping of clear white foam. Aroma is yeasty, flavor is lightly sweet and yeasty bitter. Palate is mediumy and rather pleasant.

22 oz. bottle- Pours golden with a decent head and perfect lacing, aroma is pepper and other spices. The flavor is mild hops and a very nice pepper spiciness to it. Overall a very good Belgian style Trippel.

Bomber. 2009 vintage. Smells of pepper, grain, faint banana esters. Pours golden with minimal head, mediocre lacing. Peppery taste; somewhat sweet. Ful-bodied with a nice tasty long finish. A bit sour in the aftertaste. Tastes like an American take on a Belgian style, but that’s not a bad thing. I enjoyed this beer quite a bit. Addendum: I had to change the score on this from a 4.0 to 3.7. The beer gets a little watery towards the end of the bottle. Still a fine beer, however.

Pretty good for a Belgian. The banana and clove notes are more subdued than other Belgians. Palate is crisp and bubbly. Tastes a little spicy with a strong hop and alcohol presence. Another good showing from the Brewmaster Reserve.
