Apr 6, 2009 Average size tan head atop a garnet body that leaves nice lacing. Aroma of soft fruit, bready malts and yeast. Earthy taste, some sweetness, mild nuttiness, but well balanced by fragrant, floral hops. Very smooth mouthfeel, gently carbonated, with a dry, long lasting finish. Complex, but extremely drinkable.

Apr 5, 2009 Pours a really nice copper color with a long lived white head.Aroma is hoppy with a big malt undertone. Some fruit and maybe a little Cinnamon? Clove? Flavor is very fry, some gof hop bitterness, but then a big malt character as well. There was something really kind of odd and metallic in the backend though. A bit off-putting. Pretty decent beer if it wasn’t for that metallic twang.

Apr 4, 2009 Bottle from Tesco. Copper coloured beer from my native west London. Malty, caramel, fruity, spicy, almost like a light English Christmas cake. This is a really cracking quality beer which I can never tire of.

Mar 28, 2009 500ml bottle. copper pour with a big tan head that sticks around. good looking brew. muted but good aroma of toasted malts, caramel and light hops. well balanced taste of toffee/caramel malts and candied fruits - backed up by a dry, spicey, orange peel finish (comes off as salty). overall quality stuff.

Mar 9, 2009 Bottle. Poured dark waldhoney brown with lasting white head. Aroma of caramel and malt, very powerful. Full malty flavour with a bit of nutmeg and honey. Spicy fruity finish, with some nut. Looks and tastes like an old ale should.
