| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 23, 2008 Bottle. A nice red color with a creamy tan head. The aroma is slightly malty and nutty, but fairly tame overall. A nice smooth beer with a good, mildly lingering hop bite on the end. The quality of the malts give it a nice toffee, roasted flavor. The balance of the initial malt hit with the ending hop flavor is really nice. Quality and a superb example of the style. fredthecat (186), Canada
