Big deep offwhite shiny lasting head. Dark brown body made hazy by suspended yeast particles. Fruity malty aroma with peppery roasty toffee notes. Deep rich sweet intensely malty fruity taste with roasty peppery toffee and chocolate notes. Dry wooden minty roasty aftertaste with faint hoppy notes. Some sherry/paper notes, probably from oxidization. Long spicy aftertaste of wood creosote. Harmonic and balanced. Lovely! An excellent beer. (0.5l bottle, Systembolaget, Göteborg. BBD 2009-08-14.)

It was ok. The smell had me a bit worried, as it smelled sickly sweet and of lots of molases. Luckily it didn’t actually taste like its aroma. Overrated beer.

I may have to take back my lack of love for English beers. This is a nice English strong ale/old ale style. Really creamy. Malty. Good one.

Thanks to ghawener. Drank it for my 35th b-day. Very well made ale. I’m impresses with Fullers, always consistent. Very spicy and hoppy.

Lovely red beer. Fruit, cherries, prunes. Bitter sweet, well balanced, very enjoyable. Flowery hops, sweet and sour. A great beer.
