Nose of sweet dried fruit: prunes, cherries, cranberries. Flavor more woody, w/ awesome depth due to the range of lightly sweet malt undertones. Strong hops dryness. Fruity aroma of prunes, raisins, and cherries to go along with toasty malts and caramel. Flavor follows with some light stale roasted notes to go along with the fruits and an earthy bitter (3-4 out of 10) dry finish. Medium body with low to moderate carbonation. Lively hop bitterness and touch of yeast bite in flavor and aroma... underneath is proud solid malts that touch a balance between roast and restraint. This should age VERY well and open up in the process. portermax55 (118), Canterbury, Connecticut, USA
