Dark amber ale with a huge tan head, this beer has roasty aroma and flavor. The flavor is complimented by caramel and citrus. It has a smooth and nearly chewy mouthfeel.

Ruby/brown with thinner head. Dried fruits, toffe rasins and vanilla are all featured. Thinner bodied, lite hops and a drier finish. Roasted malts, chocolate and caramel flavorings all add depth and complexity to this ale.

Bottle as shown. Pours a cloudy dark tan color with a medium light tan head. The aroma is a strong roasted malt and caramel. The taste is a watery malt with a good finish. Very easy to drink enjoyed this one.

Semi cloudy mud brown; small lingering head. Straw and earth aroma. Rich, bitter, full bodied with notes of malassas, caramel, bitter hops, alcohol and wet cardboard (probably not the freshest bottle). Not as tasty as the Vintage, but decent.

Pours a cloudy dark amber with a small off white head. Smells very fruity, berries, grapes, plums, with a nice malty backbone. The taste is very easy drinking, pretty malty, with a little bit of sweetness. Definitely some bitterness to this beer as well. Pretty complex, alot of different flavors abound. Nice English brew.

Finally found one in date, 21st November 2007, finally! Fantastic nose; nutty and coffee-like roasted malts, cooked apple, sherry, spice, alcohol, nice and big. Pours a cleanish bronze body with a billowing offwhite head. Big lengthy palate, clinging to mouth, slight sourness which is strangly welcome. Rich flavour, plenty of coffee and nutty malts with some toffee sweetness, notes of port, Delicious apple, plum, dried fruits. Early sweetness is balanced with a lingering, dry, moderately high bitter finish, with a good amount of resiny, grassy hop flavour. An unbelievablely good English ale, a definate stand out, which was somehow unremarkable last time i tried it! Highly recommended!

pours a very dark apple cider with a one finger dark cream color bubbly and fluffy head. aroma is roasted caramel malt with an apple aroma. has a medium to full body with great lacing and good carbonation. flavor is the same as aroma but stronger. has a somewhat strong bite from the hops and some pine. also has a dry hop aftertaste, a little bit thin in the middle but the end kicks in full throttle. a very well made ale and i noticed it is a little sticky as well.

Clear copper with a bubbly white head. Deep aroma of malt, cookie dough, sherry, leather, and spice. Velvet mouthfeel. Toffee and molasses up front with the caramel malt colese behind. Coffee and crystal malt in the middle, with a nice bitter finish.
