Sep 22, 2006 A warm, rich, chestnut colour with a thick tan head. The aroma really is of fruit cake - a slightly spicy one. THe taste is hugh, with lots of fruti and spice on top of the malt, and a dry lingering finish.

Seems like there are spices in there as well nutmeg maybe. pours beautiful dark brown just like a trappist ale. flavors are rich and malty, with spices. Nice dry finish, with a lovely taste that just lingers in your mouth. medium heavy mouthfeel. Great brew!

Sep 20, 2006 Bottled. Pours a bright, clear reddish amber with a short, lacy beige head. The aroma has fruit and nuts over toffee sweetness and yeast. The body is medium with moderate carbonation. The taste is lightly sweet, nuts, spice, toffee, and fruit. Dry, almost grainy finish that shows a bit of alcohol.
