Bottle poured a hazy dark copper with an amber head. Aroma was gingerbread, spices, and molasses. Palate is dry. Flavors of bread and spices with a hint of fruitiness. Definatly has a dry fruity finish.

Bottle. It was with great hesitation that I cracked open one of the four bottles I have left from last winter to rate it. It did not dissapoint. Pours a hazy reddish-brown with a large, long lasting, frothy off-white head. Aroma of caramel, fruit, raisins, citrus, apple, berries, spice, roasted malt, yeast and more. Looks and smells great! Palate has some hop bitterness. The flavour follows the aroma: roasted and sweet malts, dried fruit and hops. This is really a world class beer and one my favourites. I will cherish the three I have left and hopefully I’ll be able to get more.

Lovely red beer. Fruit, cherries, prunes. Bitter sweet, well balanced, very enjoyable. Flowery hops, sweet and sour. A great beer.

The rep that sampled this told me this was Fullers Vintage Ale that wasn’t matured yet. That may or may not be true, but I do know enough that I liked this stuff. Although young, it still had a nice hop characteristic that was noticeable. I also noted chocolate and sweet toffee. Light bitterness with was also there but somehow not balanced yet.

An extremely foamy head on this brew.Good amber color.Fruity aroma and very smooth.Great lacing!Has an aftertaste to it after it gets a little warm, but this one I like.I definitely would drink this brew again and again and again! Re-Rate:Bottle. Poured a medium sized vanilla fizzy head that had poor retention, fast rising carbonation, spotty amounts of lacing, and an orange hue with a golden tint. The aroma was fruity, hoppy, sweet, malty, caramel, alcohol, and rich. The flavor was hoppy, caramel, malty, fruity, and the ABV came through although not overpowering. The mouthfeel was mostly smooth with a tinglyness and the body was light-medium. A well balanced beer with a warming sensation as it warmed up, worthy of a try, and a beer I will drink again if it comes my way.

Standard English ale appearence with chocolate and coffee hints in the aroma and flavour. The beer is good but is slightly over bitter for my taste at times.

Good sweet malty aroma -with a hint of nuts mixed in. Has a thin, mocha colored head which dissipates quickly but has good lacing. Pleasant bourbon like copper red appearance. Flavor - has a little bit of a dopplebok flavor to it. Slightly sweet but not cloying. Gets "chewier" as it warms - detect some nuttiness to it along with raisins and dates. Excellent mouthfeel - just feels right. Classic bottle. Overall - an excellent ale.

Dark amber with a large off white head. Metallic aroma, sweet malt and alcohol taste. Very dry finish. Why have I never rated this? Good beer.
