This beer was so good. Really good. Deep orange in color. A nice aroma of malt and it was sort of fruity. Slightly cloudy. A well made beer. Very delicious.

A very good beer, but not the best in the Fullers lineup. My sampling was of unknown age, but this beer should survive a few years and it could not have been more than 2-3 years old. Poured lightly hazy red-amber with a dense khaki head. Rich raisiny/fig aroma, not much hop aroma (herbal). Nicely balanced palate, its lightly sweet with caramel and raisin notes, followed by an herbal cough drop finish, which was surprisingly dry, with a light lingering bitterness. Mouthfeel was lightly tingly from the carbonation.

Bottle. Big airy tan head. Beautiful shiny deep amber colored body. Excellent lacework. Strong nutty malt aroma with notes of caramel, dark fruits and earthy hops. Taste is full malty and has an inviting sweetness. Dark fruits and spicy tones, and more earthy bittering hops. Well-bodied. Balanced and smooth. Fine bitterness in the finish.

Supposedly I got this fresh, but it looks like I had a different beer than most. Pours tawny brown with a sudsy / rocky tan head. The aroma has bready toffee, smooth caramel and dates - thick and rich aroma. Medium / thin body with some fairly sharp carbonation. The flavor starts with some toffee along with astringency and light biscuit. The finish is earthy, more astringent and highly medicinal. This really seemed old, but it was from a freshly delivered case.

A rich dark caramel colored beer that shows ruby highlights. The flavor is a complex bready mix of malt, fruit and hops. Dry and smooth. Satifying.

Bottled. Pours a bright, clear reddish amber with a short, lacy beige head. The aroma has fruit and nuts over toffee sweetness and yeast. The body is medium with moderate carbonation. The taste is lightly sweet, nuts, spice, toffee, and fruit. Dry, almost grainy finish that shows a bit of alcohol.

Pours deep amber/brown with medium tight beige head. Floral hop aromas, along with coffee and caramel. Very floral taste, with hints of roasted coffee.. chocolate.. caramel. Sweet malt well balanced by hops and roasted grains. Lovely and smooth too :)
