| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 23, 2008 Bottle. Poured a nice orange body with huge head. Aroma is light hops and sweet malt. Flavor is light hops, bread and sweet malt. Slight dry and one dimensional from beggining to end. Perhaps it needs to be aged for awhile as this rating is from a fresh bottle. jerohen (1615), Bussum, Netherlands

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 23, 2004 (on bottle)There´s no doubt in this being a good beer. I just had one and the aroma is very heavy of alcohol, almonds(don´t know if that´s alwys a good thing in a beer) and real cask. In fact, it´s the first bottled beer i´ve, that can be up there with the casks. very full maltyness in the mouth and a strong alcohol kick in the end. Much alcoholpercentage for an ale at 6,3. The finish IS bitter, but there´s also traces of tabacco I should say. TheBeerOrg (1588), Kentucky, USA

Rich malty beginning with a bitter finish. Basically a kicked up ESB. Very enjoyable. jpm30 (1588), East Central, Georgia, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 7, 2006 From a distinctive 1pt. .9oz. shaped Fuller’s brown bottle with a blurb about the ale and a "Best Before" date on the back label, 20/Jun/06. Made an impressive appearance, poured a red hued deep copper with a large frothy pale tan head that slowly reduced to a sticky thin ringed lacing. A tasty fruity and grainy aroma, hints of a musky yeastiness and whiffs of sweet alcohol. Good carbonation and a slick, smooth full bodied mouth feel, excellent drinkability. Had a tasty fruity hoppiness at first, a smooth bitterness, followed by a sweet grainy maltiness, traces of woodiness, a fruity alcohol presence on the tongue and a crisp finish with a lingering nutty yeastiness and alcoholic dry fruitiness in the palate.
