(on bottle)There´s no doubt in this being a good beer. I just had one and the aroma is very heavy of alcohol, almonds(don´t know if that´s alwys a good thing in a beer) and real cask. In fact, it´s the first bottled beer i´ve, that can be up there with the casks. very full maltyness in the mouth and a strong alcohol kick in the end. Much alcoholpercentage for an ale at 6,3. The finish IS bitter, but there´s also traces of tabacco I should say.

Dark amberish-copper color, nice lacy off-white head, sweet & malty balanced aroma, full-bodied & nicely balanced, had some very heavy & complex flavors, a bit of a hoppy aftertaste but very smooth & drinkable

Bottle Pours a medium dark redish amber with a decent light tan head. Aromas of aples, caramel, figs and raisons are very nice. Flavors are more of the toasted malt, smokey flavor. Fairly astringent and bitter witha moderately heavey feel. BItter woody aftertaste. Nice

Red orange coloured. Large beige head quickly settles down, some lacing. Caramel and roast aroma. Strong, caramel and roasty taste. Can also smell and taste chocolate in there. Creamy mouthfeel. A great, world class beer.

Courtoisie de HogTownHarry. Couleur de terre cuite, pas beaucoup de collet. Arome réchaufant de maltes et d’épice. Goût d’épice et de fruit du vergés. Une vraie délice!

Bottle. Pours a dark, semi translucent amber color with nice semi thick head with good retention. Aroma of dark roast, hops, with very slight floral, slight apple. Flavow VERY nice. Strong roast malt and maple flavor with great balanced hop bitterness to off set sweetness, and almost taste as if it was in a bourbon oak cask, but it says bottle conditioned on the label, I swear I taste wood tannins though with slight bourbon.. has slight alcohole spiceMedium carbonation with medium-full body. Great beer!, one to enjoy.

Bottle sample at a tasting. Thanks zvikar! Deep red-ruby color with a medium beige head. Aroma of malt, caramel, light smoke hints and earthy hop notes. Sweet and malty flavor with biscuits, some fruity notes and a bitter finish with nice British earthy hops. Medium-bodied.

Beautiful clear mahogany with a thick beige head. Aroma of caramel, butterscotch, toffee, dark fruits, apple, bread and alcohol. The flavor offers more of the same along with toasted malt, molasses, spiciness, a big dose of bitter hops, raisins and plums. Bitter hoppy aftertaste with a slightly burnt tinge. Very full, round and creamy on the palate with lively carbonation. Great lacing and AWESOME, thick head retention. Great stuff.
