Been lookign forward to this fellow for ages and well not what i expected, a good beer but maybe not as intence as i expected. Aroma of malty sweetish, lightly spicey fullers beer. Taste is also malty sweetness, infact theres such a great malt content here i wonder how much malt they must use. Spicey and i get the dark fruits and spicey characters, but a bitterness which i thought may have been due to it being a little to cold kicks in a bit at the end meaning its not above a 4. A good beer however i was expecting something a little more complex.

Sweet malty aroma and puffy white head. Light brown body tastes of caramel malt and goldings hops. Silky palate and a great toasty finish. A fine British Ale!

This beer rocks! Slightly hazy, deep copper ale. Large, rocky, beige-colored head. Good lacework. The nose is full of stuff: Raisins, light molasses, yeast (bread dough), tawny port and caramel. The flavor matches the aroma. A medley of many rich things; caramel and molasses foremost. Fairly well-balanced. Full-bodied with a silky mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Excellent finish! Lengthy, bittersweet and moderately alcoholic. Reminds me of a good scotch ale. A winner!

Not as good as i remeber, quite malty and sticky, nice fruitcake taste, with a decent sticky bitterness, i don’t like it as much as i used to.

Deep tan colour with small but fine beige head. Aroma is malty and fruity with some toffee and nuts. Flavor is, as said in the commercial description, almost fruit cake like.

Bottle Conditioned, 2 years. Rich dark amber with thin head. Fruit, malt and port on the nose follows with a rich fruity body and quick drying hops. Great condition, lovely and smooth.

A very warm and spicy beer with a long bitter aftertaste. I drank this in the sun on a hot Danish summerday (almost 25 celsius). Probably not the best time to try it.
