Pours a lovely orange-amber with a generous pocked head and fine webbed lace...Aroma is rich, estery, lightly sweet, a bit like a cream sherry...The flavor is dry, slightly roasty, with well-bittered hoppiness and trace sweetness adding comment. The flavors are layered and have great interplay...Carbonation is suitably light...Body is full; it is quite smooth but with edges that bite a little---great mouthfeel! In sum, this is great drinking...Richness, complexity, harmony, substance---all here in ample measure...First rate!

Dark amber color with a off white lasting head with moderate lacing. Nice balance of malt and hopps. Complex. A good example of an english strong ale. This exceeded my expectations and will be on my repurchase list.

This beer rocks! Slightly hazy, deep copper ale. Large, rocky, beige-colored head. Good lacework. The nose is full of stuff: Raisins, light molasses, yeast (bread dough), tawny port and caramel. The flavor matches the aroma. A medley of many rich things; caramel and molasses foremost. Fairly well-balanced. Full-bodied with a silky mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Excellent finish! Lengthy, bittersweet and moderately alcoholic. Reminds me of a good scotch ale. A winner!

Dark amber body with smaller and bubbly tan head. Good lacing. Aroma consists of fruit (cherry, apricots) and roasted malts. Flavour is a beautiful mix of fruit, roasty toasy malts and spices. A great mix of taste without having either the typical citrus, chocolate or coffee. Finish is dry and fruity with a hoppy bite. A superbly crafted ale.

What a colour! Dark red brown with a big but quickly disappearing head, leaving some lacing. Lemon/orange aroma with some malt and some chocolate. Lots of hops in the flavour, dry and with a sharp aftertaste. I’m loving it!

pours a deep amber, slighty ruby-tinted. light carbonation and a small head. malty, spicy/floral aroma. first is a nice hint of roasted barley malt, and there is a perfect subtlety to the hops presence. complex mouthfeel, with malt dominating but it results in a little bit of lingering bitterness. semi-sweet finish. this is definitely a beer i could drink all day!
