Another great ale from Fullers. Excellent fruity aroma. Flavor walks a very fine line between malt sweetness and hop bitterness. One of the best balanced brews out there. Most beers that attempt to achieve balance fail. This ale succeeds massively.

MMMMMMMM!!! Aroma was malty and fruity...wonderful. Initial flavor was nicely balanced between the maltiness and the hops. Aftertaste was even better :-) This brewery can do no wrong!

I like strong ales, and this a damn fine ale. Maybe a little yeasty for some, but not for me. I’ve heard that they cellar very nicely, and I think i’ll start building my cache today.

Poured with an awesome dark brown hue, and large-bubbled foam top. Pleasant warm aroma, followed by an very good hoppy, wood-chip flavor with a hint of smoke and tight bitter finish. Excellent ale.

Quite delicious. Aroma of light hops, caramel malt and biscuit. Poured a clear copper amber color with a thick beige, lasting head. Nice lacing. Caramel malt flavor with biscuit and a light bitter hop aftertaste. Very well balanced and smooth. Mouth coating caramel mouthfeel.

Beautiful ruby-amber colour with a thick & lacey off-white head. Aroma is sweet, treacly, malty & warm. Soft, luscious mouthfeel. Flavour is big and malty to start, leading into dried fruit and spice notes, and a well bittered finish. Fantastic stuff - if it’s this good out of the bottle, I can only imagine how amazing the cask version must be!
