Pours a reddish copper with a massive billowy foam head that lends great lacing on the glass. Aroma is sweet and malty with a fruit (grapes?)undertone and a hoppy spiciness happening. Some yeast in there as well. Flavor is initially sweet and malty, dark fruit and spice, then a long, lingering bitter and dry finish. Palate is very smooth and fits the beer well. Pretty dang good, more than I expected.

This beer has a fantastic amber color and a good head, though it disappears fast. The aroma is slightly fruity. And the flavor is fantastic with hints of oranges and a slight sweetness ending of with a fantastic bitterness from a great sort of hop. Nothing less than a fantastic beer.

Actually, I’m quite impressed. This is very dry beer, somewhat like a good merlot wine. It is very smooth and very nice-looking: bright red body and thick white head. This is a sipping beer to go with a good steak.

Beautiful deep red color, cloudy, with a very large, foamy off-white head. The aroma is one of the best I've ever enjoyed. Caramel, creamy, sweet, some plum and dates notes. The flavor does not quite live up to the aroma. The caramel is present, slightly sweet, but it seems a bit watered down. Still, quite a good brew.

Deep amber red colour. Malty aroma and mouthfeel. Full taste of malt and hops. Went down smoothly.

Dark brown medium head, stron hops and malts in the nose. Kind of musty actually, but more of warm not moist or damp must. Smooth with currants on the taste, bitter and hoppy on the finish.

Be sure to serve this one somewhere between room temperature and fridge temperature. The aroma starts to emerge as the beer warms and the flavour improves as well. A unique ale, quite unlike anything I’ve had before. A beautiful ale with a wild taste - bourbon, fruitiness, syrup and spice. Almost creamy feel as it goes down. A nice bitter aftertaste. Certainly a surprising taste and one that grows on you.
