Medium-light effervescence. Aroma is unique...very understated but is predominated by a spicey, smoked oak-fruity aroma. Front is very smooth with a good malt presence punctuated by its smokey-oak nutty sweetness balanced with the piney hops that become more prominent in the finish as the malts drop away and the piney hops become slightly bitter....long lingering metallic after taste. This is a very well put together ale...nicely balanced complexity...care and effort have been taken in the production and ingredients....and it shows. Beer Snob (382), Ontario, Canada

The aroma starts to emerge as the beer warms and the flavour improves as well. A unique ale, quite unlike anything I’ve had before. A beautiful ale with a wild taste - bourbon, fruitiness, syrup and spice. Almost creamy feel as it goes down. A nice bitter aftertaste. Certainly a surprising taste and one that grows on you. davegore (202), liverpool, Merseyside, England

Re-Rate:Bottle. Poured a medium sized vanilla fizzy head that had poor retention, fast rising carbonation, spotty amounts of lacing, and an orange hue with a golden tint. The aroma was fruity, hoppy, sweet, malty, caramel, alcohol, and rich. The flavor was hoppy, caramel, malty, fruity, and the ABV came through although not overpowering. The mouthfeel was mostly smooth with a tinglyness and the body was light-medium. A well balanced beer with a warming sensation as it warmed up, worthy of a try, and a beer I will drink again if it comes my way.
