yet another rerate of this beer. glowing amber-red, almost pink, with a creamy frothy head. fruit + toffee + goldings smells. taste starts with full, juicy, sweet, buttered-toast malt, then gradually dries up and becomes peppery and bitter, and maybe a bit medicinal. lingering taste of fruitcake with heaps of orange peel. this has a lot of class.

Color, nice dark amber color. Aroma is hoppy and citrusy. At first, the mouthfeel is refreshing, but then the bitterness comes. As for taste, I get citrus, and spice. Reminds me of pumpkin pie for some reason. Excellent beer and worth the money I paid for it.

1 pint 0.9 oz bottle, enjoyed this beer immsensely! Poured a nice deep color with caramel and a slightly white head. Deep, rich malt with chocolate flavors, very smooth on the palate as well and ended strong. Definate purchase sometimes soon.

500ml bottle. Pours a nice dark-mahogany colour, with a medium sized tan head, that subsides quickly to a decent surface film. The aromas are of fruits, with a lot of emphasis on some citrusy hops, almost like grapefruits. There’s almost a hint of dark roasty chocolate malts in their too. The taste is fruity up front, followed quickly by a slightly forceful hop bite, anf then a dry hoppy finish, with a malty after taste. There’s a very subtle hint of the slightly higher ABV, but it’s definitely out-done by the hops. A highly enjoyable and complex brew.

Drinking it as I write. Pours darker than expected: a wonderful deep russet, with a thin yet resilient milky head. Fruit and spice aroma, subtle caramel notes. Finishes with just enough bitterness. Great balance throughout.

A beautiful clear, dark red colored beer. With a thick beige foamed head. The aroma of roasted malts, caramel, a little coffee, a little chocolate and fruity. The taste of malts, bitter, sweet coffee and light chocolate, dark fruits like raisin. The aftertaste stay for awhile, gentle bitter and dry.

Thanks Naam, Deep red with nice cream color head, aroma of malt grapes, nuts, dry fruit, chocolate and some whiskey, flavor is dry with malt, chocolate, nuts spiced with cinammon and clove, complex yet balanced with some bitter smokey finish. Full body, like the style and the beer.
