Certainly not an every day ale but awesome nevertheless. Hazy brownish-orange with a healthy and pleasing dose of hops. Chocolate and spices abound on the nose. Similar sensations in the flavor with a rather dry finish. Still one of my favorites.

This is a full-bodied, GREAT tasting beer. Excellent, I will definitely be buying more of this. Pours semi-cloudy, a hazy amber color with a thin head. Couldn’t peg the flavor, but know that it has a nice full finish with staying power.

I found one of these in a gas station that said "best before sept. 2002" on it. By far the best 1845 I've had. Great appearance with big tan head. Smells of dark fruit and spices. Very malty with little hop presence, but noticeable toasted flavors and caramel, while spices and fruit flavors dominate the finish.

Red orange coloured. Large beige head quickly settles down, some lacing. Caramel and roast aroma. Strong, caramel and roasty taste. Can also smell and taste chocolate in there. Creamy mouthfeel. A great, world class beer.

Beautiful ale. Deep brown-amber color with a rocky white head. Aroma of caramel malt and earthy hops. Rich toffee malt flavors open up, followed by the earthy hops and a pleasant, lingering medium bitterness. Full Bodied, low carbonation for a smooth creamy mouthfeel.
