Bottle 50 cl. Pours a copper red with a small head and an aroma of raisins, sweet malts, syrup, caramel and some bitter hops. The flavor is sweet, mainly malty with notes of raisins, vanilla, honey, caramel, ripe fruits, ontbijtkoek and mybe some cream. A nice hoppy finish. Good but a bit too expensive for me.

@ Kickbacks Gastropub Jacksonville, FL. A whopping $9 bottle of beer. They are getting ridiculous with the prices on brew. I suppose the masses have caught on. The beer pours a nice dark amber. Head blows up like Hiroshima and the winch @ the pub made sure that I knew so. It was all head. Beer has a decent nose. English hops and malts, and a nice bitter grain. Taste is solid grains, mild hops, and burnt malts. Some spices, however not overwhelmingly. Subtly played, and in favor. Decent brew. Not sure i’d drop $9 on t his again, nor $12 on the Vintage ale.

Bottle, thanks to TheJester. Brown/amber pour with a medium rather creamy white head. Aroma is mellow. english malts, toffee caramel and a little hops. Taste is very mellow as well, good sweet/bitter balance. Not a favorite for me but pretty good.

Lovely rich amber colour. the aroma is classic English ale with rich caramel malt and some earthy hop characteristics. Full bodied palate with some slight sweetness. Caramel malt with some slight roastiness and great hop balance. A beautiful beer, very enjoyable to drink, bit of a special occasion beer. Love it!

Dynamite reddish-amber hue shows off gorgeous foam cap! If the appearance doesn’t impress you, just smell it! Warm, spicy notes - nutmeg, allspice - expertly showcases the yeast’s fruity esters. EKG hops - a standard for this style of beer - are expertly showcased in a way that aroma AND flavor all come together in a symphony of balance! No, I do not work for the brewery - I’m just happy to find a brew that so well defines the best of its intended style! Fantabulous

Pint bottle into an English pint glass. Pours amber/red with a thick and tight khaki head. The aroma is dusty malt with a hint of sour fruits. The flavor is minerally hard water and metal with malty bitterness, lots of biscuit, some citrus, and a chocolatey finish. The mouthfeel is big and creamy and the glass is covered with lace.

Dark reddish with a small off-white head. Aroma is extremely balanced from juicy malts and grassy hops. Flavour is fairly intense with notes of biscuits and light dried fruit acompanied by grassy refreshing hops leading to a fairly dry and juicy finish. Body is medium and fairly smooth.

Gorgeous ruby pour. I don’t use the word gorgeous lightly, and it most certain applies in this case. Heavy smell. Loads of plum, fig and raisins on the nose. Some sweet notes of grape juice as well. Lovely. Dry mouthfeel that carries a chalky taste of dark fruit. Has a dried fruit taste, as of freeze dried fruit and trail mix. After taste has a little taste of roasted malt but not much. This is pretty good.

Half-liter bottle, Best Before 24/Oct/08. Rating #1845! What? I could’ve had a Minhas Craft 1845? Oh, wait, I’m not near a 7-11. So let’s pop this. Pours a nice brown body with a light brown, big head. Sweet, alcoholic smell, notes of whipped caramel. Taste is malty, yet a little drier than its smell. Suggestion of dates and walnut in the malt roast. Solid, earthy English hops. Alcoholic impressions are gone once I start tasting. Solid, pleasant English ale, not as "big" as the style suggests, but it is stronger than a seesion draught.
