Amber with a small white head. Marmalade aroma with a little wood and whisky. Dry and malty with some whisky notes.

Bottle at chris o’s teabag for 2009 tasting. Alround rating: Dry, full bodied, lacking somewaht. I cannot believe thats what i rated this, as iv had it twice since and would compair it to ESB.

A Mes rate. Bottle at Chris O’s pre NYE tasting. Amber with a thin off white head. Looks like most Fullers Vintage ales. Cheap single malt aroma with a little soap. Really not working for me. Mellow whisky flavour that seems in no way integrated with what seems like a fairly standard variant of the vintage ale underneath. Boring finish with some wooden accents. Feels like a poor attempt to me.

From Voldby, DK. Bottled, 230109. Amber with small head. Aroma of wood, vanilla and malt. Flavor is caramel with balanced whisky tone.

Bottled. Clear amber, rich head. Oaky vanilla aroma. Sweet with strong whisky flavour. Solid caramelly body with that does not marry well with th whisky, making the beer somewhat one-dimensional.

Bottle #12107. High fluffy off-white and lasting head. Lovely clear reddish amber body. A bit sour lemon vinegar aroma plus of course whisky. Whisky more present in the flavor which is smooth butter caramel. Low carbonation and a short sweet aftertaste. Fair amount of alcohol.

Bottle at Chris o New Year tasting 08/09. Orange citrus aroma I thought it was pretty good. Typical good Fullers aroma, yes some whisky. Bit hot on finish, it’s pretty good. Finish isn’t as good. But as I didn’t expect to like it that much as I am not a fan of most whisky aged beer, I thought it was likeable and if i see it again at a sensible price, I’d buy it.

Beautiful amber color; generous head. Mild caramel aroma, warming but nothing special. Good body strength, caramel flavor, residual sweetness, correct bitterness, maybe a touch of wood. Quite well brewed, but ordinary.
