I tried this beer on draught on April 30, 2009 at "Smokeless Joe’s" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer was translucent light red with a loose white head. The aroma was grainy malt, with some hops in the mix. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied with medium-high carbonation. The taste was more grainy malt, and a nice hoppy finish. The beer was very refreshing, and definitely worth another try.

Bottled, 500ml from Sainsburys, Banbury. Amber with white head. Thin caramelly beer with a pronounced cardboardy character. Thinnish malt, a buttery note with a slight dusty hop. Nothing to grab hold of.

Appearance: light amber look with light fizzy top. 3-
Nose: Light , fresh ,aromatic hop feel. Gently – clean feel. 6+.
Flavor/Palate : Light bodied , fairly thin with contrasting rich flavours. Grassy with light tea flavour ,citric notes abound. Good lighter alternative session ale.

2009-05-08. Crisp orange amber body without much of a head. Aroma has a dusty cardboard character (it is not oxidized, its something different...) over dried raisins and dark fruit (at least I don’t think its oxidized...hmmm) A light touch of petrol may be from the beer or wafting in off the street. Flavour is mild, pale malts with just a kiss of sweet caramel and muted toasty malt notes. Overall a bit washed out really. Average palate. It lost a step following up a pleasant relatively brew but this just doesn’t have a ton to offer. Perhaps it is better closer to home. On tap at Volo

Amber colour with a small white head. Hoppy floral aroma with light sweet and fruity notes. Hoppy, floral and bitter flavor with a light grainy sweet note.

(draft @ The Old Toad - Rochester, NY) Light amber color with a very thick off-white head. Aroma is a little dry with some hops and a touch of caramel. Flavor is a bit dry and grassy at the beginning with a lightly dry and bitter malt middle. Finishes dry and a little sour. Mediocre.

Brought over from London by a friend. Pales in comparison with my memory of this on Cask at the Dove in Hammersmith. It’s still a pleasant refreshing pint of lunchtime bitter though. Caramel and earthy hops are the dominant flavours. Slight oxidation present, which could be due to plane travel/pressure issues getting here. I’d have another. This one is to toast Michael Jackson on his birthday. RIP MJ.

Bottel. Thanks to Faroeviking for sharing. Pours a pale copper color with a small fast disappearing white head. Malty slightly bready caramel aroma with some hoppy hints. Sweetish malty fruity hoppy flavor with some hints of caramel. Has a sweetish malty carmale finish with some weak hoppy hints in the aftertaste.
