I tried this beer on draught on April 30, 2009 at "Smokeless Joe’s" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer was translucent light red with a loose white head. The aroma was grainy malt, with some hops in the mix. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied with medium-high carbonation. The taste was more grainy malt, and a nice hoppy finish. The beer was very refreshing, and definitely worth another try.

Thin caramelly beer with a pronounced cardboardy character. Thinnish malt, a buttery note with a slight dusty hop. Nothing to grab hold of. Aroma has a dusty cardboard character (it is not oxidized, its something different...) over dried raisins and dark fruit (at least I don’t think its oxidized...hmmm) A light touch of petrol may be from the beer or wafting in off the street. Flavour is mild, pale malts with just a kiss of sweet caramel and muted toasty malt notes. Overall a bit washed out really. Average palate. It lost a step following up a pleasant relatively brew but this just doesn’t have a ton to offer. Perhaps it is better closer to home. On tap at Volo ThomasE (5178), Copenhagen, Denmark

Pales in comparison with my memory of this on Cask at the Dove in Hammersmith. It’s still a pleasant refreshing pint of lunchtime bitter though. Caramel and earthy hops are the dominant flavours. Slight oxidation present, which could be due to plane travel/pressure issues getting here. I’d have another. This one is to toast Michael Jackson on his birthday. Pours a pale copper color with a small fast disappearing white head. Malty slightly bready caramel aroma with some hoppy hints. Sweetish malty fruity hoppy flavor with some hints of caramel. Has a sweetish malty carmale finish with some weak hoppy hints in the aftertaste.
