Commercial Description:
Cask; Regular.
Ingredients: Pale malt; Northdown and Challenger hops. Dry hopped with Goldings.
GBBF Champion Beer 1989.
Slight change of recipe in 1999.
Chiswick Bitter is Fuller’s popular session strength ale, which derives its name from the area of London where Fuller’s is based. This lower strength beer is held in high regard across the South East of England and, like its stablemates London Pride and ESB, has won the prestigious CAMRA Great British Beer Festival, Beer of the Year award, in 1989. In fact, Fuller’s is the only brewery in England whose top three brands have won this award: a fitting testament to the skill and dedication of the Fuller’s brewers!

(Cask, The Wharf, Aalborg) - Light amber colour. Hoppy, slighty spicy nose. The taste is dominated by a fresh hoppy dryness, and is actually pretty well-balanced. Nice refreshing pint....

Tap, Jan Primus, Utrecht. Clear amber color, short off-white head. Aroma of some hop, some caramel malt. Dry hopped in taste, bit crisp, some fruity notes. Decent bitter.

(cask at Jugged Hare, London) Crystal clear amber body with off-white head. Aroma is mild, medium sweet, but nothing else. Taste is medium sweet, caramel, floral, light orange, earthy. Light-medium body, bit of stickiness, very drinkable.

Cask. Light amber in colour. The aroma was fruity (lots of apples, some oranges), floral hops and a slight sweetness. The flavour was herbal, some lemons and oranges, slightly sweet. Bitter mouthfeel, medium/light body, mild carbonation. Finishes with a lingering dry bitterness.

[Cask at GBBF 2004] A hazy orange beer with a small beige head. The aroma is fruity with oranges standing out. The flavor is fruity too with a dry hoppy end and a thin body. A refreshing beer, but boring.

Cask at the Old Joint Stock, Birmingham. I’m beginning to wonder if Fullers want to put Midlanders off drinking their beers. Another ice-cold offering from here. The beer itself looked OK in a tanned kind of way but any flavour in this rather thin tasting bitter was nuked by the sheer coldness.

(Cask conditioned) Golden color with a medium, frothy head. Aromatic-hoppy, somewhat fruity, quite mild aroma. Slightly sour, very aromatic-hoppy flavor. Quite empty finish. A typical real ale - slightly aromatic, but nothing else.
