Commercial Description:
Cask; Regular.
Ingredients: Pale malt; Northdown and Challenger hops. Dry hopped with Goldings.
GBBF Champion Beer 1989.
Slight change of recipe in 1999.
Chiswick Bitter is Fuller’s popular session strength ale, which derives its name from the area of London where Fuller’s is based. This lower strength beer is held in high regard across the South East of England and, like its stablemates London Pride and ESB, has won the prestigious CAMRA Great British Beer Festival, Beer of the Year award, in 1989. In fact, Fuller’s is the only brewery in England whose top three brands have won this award: a fitting testament to the skill and dedication of the Fuller’s brewers!

GBBF 2007. One of the better examples of a session bitter. Light hoppy flavour that doesn’t overwhelm with volume. Overall a pretty good beer.

Cask@MawsonArms. Fruity and floral aroma. Light hazy, brown/amber color, off-white head, good lace. Maltsweet, light fruity, bitter and herbal finish. Medium body, dry. Refreshing and although pretty bitter well drinkable.

Cask at the Bedford Arms, Bedford. Gold amber. Hop aroma with some fruity sweetness developing. Grassy hop taste. Rather one-dimensional.

Cask at local club. A light session bitter, slightly tart apple flavour, crisp bitter finish, similar to Cains IPA.

Exceptional bitter, huge hop bag aroma from dry hopping, slightly thin body which is due to the low alcohol percentage but does nothing to detract from the overall product. A very flavourful session bitter. Re-tasted honeymoon in England, this has got even better, the flavours and body seem to have been beefed up a lot! I love this beer and drank a hell of a lot of it!

Cask (Angleterre, Helsinki)
Big malty aroma, some honey and a touch floral. Taste an exact match. Long gentle hoppy finish.

Cask (Fullers Brewery Pub, London).
Unexceptional, but very tasty, English style bitter. Rich colour, mildly grassy and citrus aroma. More malty and hoppy body than you’d expect from a 3.5% brew. Great lunchtime drink.

Cask @ ’The Wharf’, Aalborg. Cobber colour with white head. Faint fresh hops. Thin body. Very shortlived bitter taste with a hinte of grape. Doesn’t fill the palat with taste.
