Commercial Description:
Cask; Regular.
Ingredients: Pale malt; Northdown and Challenger hops. Dry hopped with Goldings.
GBBF Champion Beer 1989.
Slight change of recipe in 1999.
Chiswick Bitter is Fuller’s popular session strength ale, which derives its name from the area of London where Fuller’s is based. This lower strength beer is held in high regard across the South East of England and, like its stablemates London Pride and ESB, has won the prestigious CAMRA Great British Beer Festival, Beer of the Year award, in 1989. In fact, Fuller’s is the only brewery in England whose top three brands have won this award: a fitting testament to the skill and dedication of the Fuller’s brewers!

[Cask at GBBF 2004] A hazy orange beer with a small beige head. The aroma is fruity with oranges standing out. The flavor is fruity too with a dry hoppy end and a thin body. A refreshing beer, but boring.

From cask at Charlies. Pours clear and golden orange with a fully diminished off white head. Light peach fruity aroma. Peach fruity flavour, sweet and a light acidic touch. Lingering peachy finish.

Sampled cask conditioned. Flowery aroma, ligth body but containing a big punch in the late bitterness. A very drinkable bitter.

Cask (handpump) @ The Old Joint Stock, B2, Birmingham. Clear medium amber color with a small fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, nutty. Flavor is light to moderate sweet and light bitter with a average to short duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is flat.

Cask (only got a half of a half-pint, a.k.a. end of cask). Amber colour, not much head. Citrus and grass in the overall hoppy aroma. Flowery hops along with some fruity hints in flavour. Quite grassy notes also. Felt quite watery, but still nice for being only 3.5%.

Oh, now this is something. This kicks that overrated ESB all over the pub.

2008-10-29, cask conditioned at Melton Mowbray, London, 5-3-5-3-11
Light amber color. A mellow Ale without much character, sweetish caramel flavor, maybe light honey too, moderate bitterness.

2005-12-07, cask at The Barrowboy and Banker, London, 6-3-6-4-13=32
Amber color. Very ordinary Bitter, soft. The caramel is not exaggerated and at times there is a mixed chestnut honey and hop touch.
