Commercial Description:
Bottled, Pasteurised.
This delicious, premium blonde ale from Fuller’s is the perfect combination of unbeatable flavour and refreshment.
Brewed using a unique blend of malted barley and wheat for a delicious malty taste bursting with rich, biscuity flavours, Liberty hops are then added for a distinctive zesty character and fruity bite, whilst Saaz hops add a gentle bitter taste for a clean, refreshing finish.
In cask, Discovery is 3.9% ABV, while in bottles the strength is 4.5% ABV.
Discovery tastes great served chilled, and its light, refreshing character makes it a perfect accompaniment to many foods.

Bottle, from Gift/Variety pack. Pours a pale golden lagerish colour, with a small white head. Nose is lemon zest, hops and malt. Flavour is sweet crisp/ biscuity, fruity and malty. You get hints lemon zest and only a slight taste of hops. Overall a decent beer, that is very light and refreshing, and great for summer weather. Still this is not the best beer Fullers has got to offer.

Deep gold with a good copper tint to it. Medium, fine head. Strong and sweetish malt aroma. Lots of caramel, a bit fruity, not a lot of hops. Nice malt character, flavor is sweet but not overly so. Very fruity. Decent hops provide a very pleasant balance. Refreshing and light, but rich in flavor. A nice blonde, great in summer. Slight citrus, with caramel. I would prefer more hops. Sourish, slightly hoppy, very fruity finish. Not a lot there. Nice overall, well balanced and tasty, though not too exciting.

Nice caramel and nutty notes on the nose, slight bitter scent of hops in there too. Great look to it, perfect blonde colour and nice foamy head. Taste is breadiness, some hops and malts, nothing exciting, and far too watery. Not a great blonde ale.

Bottle. Pours a clear golden color with a small white head which dissapears and leaves a small ring left on the edges of the glass. Aroma of apricot and marmelade (something which I find common in Fullers beers - the house flavour?), lightly flowery too. Flavour is similar; very light notes of apricot and marmelade finishing with a flowery bitterness. It’s a bit thin in the flavour though. Palate is smooth, lightbodied, with soft to medium carbonation. Rather okay.
