Bottled, Pasteurised.
This delicious, premium blonde ale from Fuller’s is the perfect combination of unbeatable flavour and refreshment.
Brewed using a unique blend of malted barley and wheat for a delicious malty taste bursting with rich, biscuity flavours, Liberty hops are then added for a distinctive zesty character and fruity bite, whilst Saaz hops add a gentle bitter taste for a clean, refreshing finish.
In cask, Discovery is 3.9% ABV, while in bottles the strength is 4.5% ABV.
Discovery tastes great served chilled, and its light, refreshing character makes it a perfect accompaniment to many foods.

Bottle. Golden/yellow color with a white not lasting head. The smell is citrus (oranges, lemons), and some sweet malt with caramel notes. Tastes of citrus fruitiness, Honey, light floral notes, a bit of biscuits and caramel. Some bitterness in the finish. Very light taste. Medium carbonation and light body. A very smooth and highly drinkable golden ale. Goes down easy, but not very interesting. The bottled version has an ABV of 4.2%.

Very clear light yellow color with a fading head. A bit faint bitter aroma, nothing much there actually. Same goes with flavor, although the bitterness is gone. A very quick and fading taste with some malts in the finish. Lacks character.

Clear golden with a medium head. Boring aroma of malt, earth, and sweet fruit. Whoa...what is with this flavor? Biscuit malts, some hoppiness, some citrus. Finishes real biscuity. I can’t say i enjoyed this beer.

Bottle. Poured a pure gold colour with a thin white head. The aroma is sweeta and fruity with a touch of bitterness. The flavour is crisp and fruity however it is a well balanced beer. However I think that their Summer Breeze under the Gales label is better.

Bottle 500ml. I was looking forward to this, as I chilled it to perfection. But, boy, what a let down. The best thing about the whole experience was the bottle label! There was nothing about the aroma to distinguish this brew from the lower regions of average and the appearance was just like any other blond beer. Okay, let’s go for the taste test, but what taste? Fullers say it has a "delicious malty taste, bursting with biscuity flavours". Well, my bottle didn’t. It was a weak tasting brew that would probably be rejected even on a Girl Guides picnic. On the palate it was thin and watery. I hear what others say about it being a summer beer, but there are much better ones out there (Innis & Gunn Oak Aged, for example). So come on Fullers, how did this one slip through your quality checks?

500ml bottle (Nousuvesi, Espoo). Zesty summery aroma. Biscuity malt taste and light hoppiness make this a summer session beer. A little light for my taste, but not bad. Look for honey as it warms up.
