This delicious, premium blonde ale from Fuller’s is the perfect combination of unbeatable flavour and refreshment.
Brewed using a unique blend of malted barley and wheat for a delicious malty taste bursting with rich, biscuity flavours, Liberty hops are then added for a distinctive zesty character and fruity bite, whilst Saaz hops add a gentle bitter taste for a clean, refreshing finish.
In cask, Discovery is 3.9% ABV, while in bottles the strength is 4.5% ABV.
Discovery tastes great served chilled, and its light, refreshing character makes it a perfect accompaniment to many foods.

(BBE 25.11.06) Ligth coppery colored, little white head. Aroma is hopped with orange and slight metallic tones and perfumy flowerness. Thin to medium bodied. Flavor has also this metallic bitterness and lemony sourness, still somehow watery palate. Aftertaste has also this lemon and fruits.

Slighly clouded golden hue with a decent foamy white head. Orangey nose with fruit and spice. Malty fruity taste with a dry bitter finish that lingers for a reasonable length. Pleasant.

Bottle 50cl. Poured a clear orange gold, with a thin and wispy white head that quickly disappeared. Light aroma. Slightly metallic and highly citrus hop flavour, with hints of lemon and lime, which is pleasantly refreshing, obvious in the finish. Slick and slightly oily palate. Good refreshig summer beer.

This is a nice little blonde beer from those Fuller’s boys. One feels that this may be best tasted in summer , slightly chilled as it is amber in colour, fruity, whilst having a hoppy after taste. A good refreshing little number, but not as good as the similar Adnams’ offering (Adnams Explorer); nevertheless, a good D/discovery!

Bottle. Clear yellow color with a moderated head. Some lacing and body had a sparkling look to it. Aroma was very hoppy with notes of grass, flowers and perfume with hints of mild grain and citrus in there. Mouth feel was surprisingly crisp and dry with the hops coming nicely into play. Flavor was only light bitter, even do it possesses very hoppy characteristic. Light bodied but without the texture being watery that some times goes together. Carbonation was very lively. Finish was light bitter-sweet and short. I thought it was very refreshing and crisp with a dry feel. Very drinkable.

Bottle: Deep golden coloured, lasting small foamy layer; deep malty nose with some hoppy and zesty traces; moderate bitter-sweetish flavour, rathwer light bodied; citrousy-malty finish with a distinctive bitterness later. Tasty, but a bit thin..........
