Commercial Description:
Bottled, Pasteurised.
This delicious, premium blonde ale from Fuller’s is the perfect combination of unbeatable flavour and refreshment.
Brewed using a unique blend of malted barley and wheat for a delicious malty taste bursting with rich, biscuity flavours, Liberty hops are then added for a distinctive zesty character and fruity bite, whilst Saaz hops add a gentle bitter taste for a clean, refreshing finish.
In cask, Discovery is 3.9% ABV, while in bottles the strength is 4.5% ABV.
Discovery tastes great served chilled, and its light, refreshing character makes it a perfect accompaniment to many foods.

Bottle. This beer has aromas of flowers and hops and crisp mouth feel with flavours of grains and some citrus. The flavour of this beer is a bit too understated. However, because of this, it is an ideal match with spicy, flavourful food such as indian and mexican dishes.

Bottle. Golden brown with a small head. Aromas are biscuit malts with peppery, dry hops. Some resinous lemon. Flavours are ctirus with grapefruit bitterness. Some sweetness and dry biscuit malts. Soda water on the palate. Dry on the finish. Lacks life.

500ml bottle purchased in London. Medium golden-tan color, transparent more or less. Rich and doughy taste up front, with a nice faint hop character to balance it out. Nice subtle fruity and wheat qualities as well. Very drinkable with a soft carbonation. Excellent Golden Ale.

bottle, november 07. Nice, shinny, goden clear color with a medium, creamy white head. Honey, flowery, sweet aroma. Some slight sherry notes but nice. Medium to light palate, a bit watery but refreshing. Neutral flavor. Some lemony/ flower notes. A bit watery but refreshing. Very short malty aftertaste. Nice, mild and refreshing golden ale.

This is a fairly unremarkable beer, especially when compared to the excellent blond ales being brewed in the Midlands. However, its sweet aroma and zesty flavour made it a very enjoyable accompaniment to a curry.

Tasted 2008-02-01. 2 months old. Pours clear yellow with white head. Malty aroma with a slight hoppy touch. Ditto flavour. A little honey in the aftertaste. OK beer. Very acccessible!

Bottle. Clear pale brown body, short-lived frothy head. Moderate malty aroma. Thin malty and sweet flavour. Watery. Seems a bit dead. Not a memorable one. (Tromsø, 27.11.07)
