Commercial Description:
Bottled, Pasteurised.
This delicious, premium blonde ale from Fuller’s is the perfect combination of unbeatable flavour and refreshment.
Brewed using a unique blend of malted barley and wheat for a delicious malty taste bursting with rich, biscuity flavours, Liberty hops are then added for a distinctive zesty character and fruity bite, whilst Saaz hops add a gentle bitter taste for a clean, refreshing finish.
In cask, Discovery is 3.9% ABV, while in bottles the strength is 4.5% ABV.
Discovery tastes great served chilled, and its light, refreshing character makes it a perfect accompaniment to many foods.

Bottle 0.5 l. Pale golden with smallish head. Earthy, hoppy and a bit flowery nose. Flavor is honeyish, hoppy (yet not bitter), slightly buttery, flowery with some earthiness. Wheat is detectable. Pretty full and tasty, not bad at all.

Golden with a slight off-white head. Light hay aroma with a whiff of hops. Clean mouth feel with a flavour of vaguely sweet malt and not much of a finish. A bit lacking in character.

Clear golden with a medium head. A faint bitter aroma, light body, medium carbonation and light body. Uninteresting.

500ml bottle. As usual for Fullers the bottle is very nicely designed. Hoppy, floral and slightly spicey aroma. Has a light copper colour and very small white head. Reasonable amount of carbonation. Hoppy, crisp and biscuity flavour. Some spicey hints. A bit of bitterness in th finish.

Appearance: golden brilliant color. Medium head, white color and few persistent. Aroma: sweet malts and wheat. Fruity smells like papayas, ripe oranges, tangerines and pineapple in syrup. Floral-hoppy with camomile touch. Flavor: cereals grains, mainly wheat and pale malts. Fruity like pineapple, tangerines, peaches and papayas. Soft dry-hoppy, persistent, with floral touches similar to chamomile. Palate: light to medium body, silky texture. Medium carbonation. Good balance, refreshing and nice hoppy. However, I was waiting more complexity.

Very much like the cask version - refreshing and light - but lacks some of the freshness that makes the cask so well suited to the summer.

Pours light amber with small head. Aroma is quite fruity and slightly floral. Flavour isweaker than antisipated, mostly citrus and other lighter fruits. Finish is light and clean.
