Commercial Description:
Cask; Regular.
This delicious, premium blonde ale from Fuller’s is the perfect combination of unbeatable flavour and refreshment.
Brewed using a unique blend of malted barley and wheat for a delicious malty taste bursting with rich, biscuity flavours, Liberty hops are then added for a distinctive zesty character and fruity bite, whilst Saaz hops add a gentle bitter taste for a clean, refreshing finish.
In cask, Discovery is 3.9% ABV, while in bottles the strength is 4.5% ABV.
Discovery tastes great served chilled, and its light, refreshing character makes it a perfect accompaniment to many foods.

Cask in the bell boy and banker. Alround rating: Sweeter pale malts, some leafy grassy citrus hop, a bit raw grain, fruity yeast character. Not the best from these chaps.

Cask @ Bon Accord. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is hoppy and fruity. Flavour has citric hops and is slightly malty. Average.

My wifes favourite beer and object of irritation that it’s unavailable in NZ! Pours a lovely golden colour with a fruity nose, i get a bit of soap on the nose but she disagrees. Sweet malt flavours abound on the palate with late bitterness that balances it out in the finish.

Cask. At The Princes Head, Richmond. Yawn. Gold, small head, somewhat hoppy, mostly just a little thin and sweet - thickish body, slightly quick-fnishing.

Cask at Doric Arch. Very pale golden beer with a fine-grained white head. Completely clear. The aroma is lightly wheaty with a hint of citrus and spice (good) along with some soapy woodiness (bad). Very thin, watery palate. It’s got a bit of wheaty flavour, but it really needs to ramp up the hops to keep things interesting. Quite bland and uninspired.

Full pint served moderately chilled at The Blackbird pub in Earls Court, London. Clear amber body. No head. Floral-fruity aroma. Light flavour notes of apricot. Vague bitter finish. Diluted palate (04.08.2008)

From cask at Charlies. Pours clear and golden yellow to orange with a small off-white head. Mild peachy hops aroma. Light tea like initial flavour with a mild peachy hops note. Vague apple note too. Light sweet accompanying the hops flavour. Lasting refreshing fruity flavour into the finish.

Handpulled cask at Castle, Harrow. Pale gold with white head. Refreshing clean tasting summer style bitter. No great attributes or characture. Very average.
