wheresthepath (210), Buckinghamshire, England Jun 8, 2008 [Cask at the Corn Stores, Reading] Despite the supposedly different hops, this is clearly a Fullers beer - tastes a bit like Chiswick (Dusty straw, earthy tones) with much of the flavour boiled out and a big dash of lemon added. In short, it tastes like they’ve tried to create a golden ale by amending one of their existing bitters rather than by setting out to create a new beer. It’s not bad, but there’s nothing special here. Especially disappointing considering the usually great brewery it’s come from.
yespr (6162), Copenhagen O, Denmark Aug 20, 2008 From cask at Charlies. Pours clear and golden yellow to orange with a small off-white head. Mild peachy hops aroma. Light tea like initial flavour with a mild peachy hops note. Vague apple note too. Light sweet accompanying the hops flavour. Lasting refreshing fruity flavour into the finish. bobinlondon (215), Harrow, Greater London, England Jun 26, 2008 Handpulled cask at Castle, Harrow. Pale gold with white head.
