Commercial Description:
Pasteurised bottle.
Goldings hops and Golden Promise malt.
At 8.5% ABV, Golden Pride guarantees a superb range of flavours, that is sure to satisfy even the most discerning of palates. Our brewers describe Golden Pride thus: ’ deep amber in appearance, Golden Pride is full bodied, of moderate bitterness, moderately hopped and rich in malt. Full flavoured, and reminiscent of sweet orange oil, toasted grains, and bread. Rich malty aromas lead to a similarly styled palate, with an intense finish. Sweet and bitter flavours are expressed in good balance in this weighty brew.’ Or as the late Michael Jackson, beer writer and connoisseur, put it: ’the Cognac of beers’.

An amber beer with a fine light orange head. The aroma is very nice malty sweet with notes of fruit, wood, and spices. The flavor is sweet and strong coming from a great maltblend and with lots of spice notes. It has a great palate and is a great beer - but beware You'll get drunk drinking it in the afternoon.

(Bottle 33 cl) Clear, deep amber with a tall, dense head. Fresh, hoppy aroma. Full-bodied yet not as heavy as could be expected from a beer of this strength. Lovely hoppy flavours and a touch of caramel. The alcohol is very prominent, but things are balanced by a solid, bitter finish. A nice, well crafted beer - although the alcohol makes it a bit hard to finish. 310701

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden amber with a semi creamy off-white head. Fruity and light malt aroma, solid pinewood hops too. Initially sweet and quite dense malty with notes of fruit like banana. Smooth mouthfeel and flavour going into a little more bite before the finish. Finish holds a smooth yet complex malt base with fruit, sweetness, liqourice, caramel and mixed with hops to slowly provide a nice dryness. Great!

Red-brown. Wow, this is a big beer. Very malty, vinuous with plum aroma. Well balanced. One of the best European barley wines!

Bottled. Dark amber colour, big foamy white head. Toffee, malts and hops in aroma. Plummy, sweet toffeeish flavour with hints of sweet berries. Quite barley wineish beer. Strong bitterish hoppy aftertaste. Wellbalanced and pleasant!
