The aroma is very nice malty sweet with notes of fruit, wood, and spices. The flavor is sweet and strong coming from a great maltblend and with lots of spice notes. It has a great palate and is a great beer - but beware You'll get drunk drinking it in the afternoon. Papsoe (15103), Frederiksberg, Denmark
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 27, 2005 (Bottle 33 cl) Clear, deep amber with a tall, dense head. Fresh, hoppy aroma. Full-bodied yet not as heavy as could be expected from a beer of this strength. Lovely hoppy flavours and a touch of caramel. The alcohol is very prominent, but things are balanced by a solid, bitter finish. A nice, well crafted beer - although the alcohol makes it a bit hard to finish. 310701 yespr (12404), Copenhagen O, Denmark
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 12, 2008 50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden amber with a semi creamy off-white head. Fruity and light malt aroma, solid pinewood hops too. Initially sweet and quite dense malty with notes of fruit like banana. Smooth mouthfeel and flavour going into a little more bite before the finish. Finish holds a smooth yet complex malt base with fruit, sweetness, liqourice, caramel and mixed with hops to slowly provide a nice dryness. Great!
