Pours a clear light copper with a good-sized, frothy off-white head. Sweet caramel malty aroma leads into a nicely sweet, but well balanced with bitterness, smooth body. Finishes lightly sweet and crisp, a true version of the English style.

Darker in color than most IPA's. Not at all like the BIG American IPA's. This, like most Fullers, is a quality beer, brewed with tradition and time tested recipies. If you go to England and get an IPA, this is what you will find. It is a nice change from a regular ale.

garrishly golden as a rapper's jewelry, with diminishing but delicate mare's tails of cirrus lace. the aroma promises a chewy caramel confection, perhaps a bit of orange, but it lies. the flavor snaps like a mousetrap on the unwary tongue with it's crisp carbonation and very un-sweet bitterness. yes, the aroma is clearly at odds with what actually materializes on the palate. although the goldings are potent, more of that malt structure and sweetness hinted at aromatically would've helped this brew; along with an upward adjustment of alcohol, please. tinny as iron water, with papery hop bitterness and just perfunctory grassy malts. hoppy, but not hefty.

Not a bad brew. It tastes like a Fullers beer. That's kinda disappointing to me. Doesn't taste like an IPA to me... But it's still pretty good.

Amber in color with a modrate frothy head. Aroma is less hoppy than other IPAs. Some sweet perfume notes, floral. Flavor is mildly hopped. Finish is long and lightly bitter. An excellent brew.

Wow! The second IPA that I have enjoyed. The hops are strong but they are the right types and the bitterness is not overpowering. Good head and lace. Nice color to the pour. I'd actually buy this in quantity!

Out of the Fuller's product that I've bought, this is the weakest effort due to my expectations of the IPA style and my high expectations of the brewer. However, it is still a very drinkable beer.

Golden brown color. Subtle hoppy aroma, flowery, somewhat malty. Light bodied with a taste of fresh bread. Nice and soft on the palate. Not as highly hopped as an American IPA and it's not trying to be. Just a nice not too complex of a beer.
