2.9 - Not as hoppy as a traditional IPA; surprisingly malty actually. This tastes more like an average amber or a confused hef. I may need another taste of this to balance out my lack of enthusiasm, but I expect more from Fullers. RERATE: on second taste this is an extremely palatable IPA which is amazingly well crafted, even if it lacks originality.

Clear amber, average head. Standard IPA hoppiness in the smell and taste, but it is overcome by malts and has a very off-balance feel to it. Not one of Fullers’s better offerings.

A rather refreshing break from the usual IPA, though as a beer it doesn’t quite stack up. Pretty pleasant and ’bitter’-sweet, much like an ESB. Really toned down for the style. (Note: going on memory from a few days ago.)

In response to Dogbrick’s comments...I am the one who ’scored’ the case for $12. (typical...) Anyhow, this is a very good beer - but uncharacteristic for an IPA indeed - very mild hopps.

Reddish gold color with a thin head. Hops very present in the aroma, but not so much in the flavor. As a matter of fact this was much more malty than I was expecting given the tart hoppy aroma. The flavor was uncharacteristically malt imbued. It may have been off the mark for the typical IPA but it was still a good beer. The fact that I scored a case of these for $12 didn’t hurt either.

nice dry hoppy IPA. much more unbderstated than most micro IPAs or APAs but still a good well hopped ale.

Very nice. I drank the first 6oz ice cold and it had a nice apricot aroma to it. As it warmed, it became more enjoyable and perhaps a little sweeter. No head whatsoever when it comes out of the freezer at about 33 degrees Fahrenheit.

This is a vast improvement over American IPAs I’ve tried. It is quite hoppy, as an IPA should be, but smooth and pleasantly sweet nevertheless.
