This is an excellent beer. It pours out light amber with small head. Full hop aroma. The taste is a chewy hop and malt flavor combo. Yum. At the time this beer became available I considered it hands down the best IPA you could buy. johndoughty (2156), cheslyn hay, West Midlands, England

and overall very refreshing. A good but not great pale ale. rauchbier (3000), Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, England
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 25, 2006 Bottle, from Sainsburys. Deep gold, thin but lasting white head and gentle condition. Low fruitiness in the nose with some trace grapefruit-citrus hop notes. Muted sweet grain and flowery hops in the mouth. Chalky hop bitterness in the finish. Nothing really wrong wih it, just lacking any real depth.

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 15, 2006 Bottle (bought in Bath, UK): Light amber to copper coloured, thin, but lacing white head; fruity-malty nose with a tinge of caramel and distinctive "english" floral hoppiness; moderate malty and fruity (traces of citrus) and distinctly bitter flavour; fruity in the dry finish, again, plus a fine, lingering hoppiness. A fine refreshing brew, a fine balance of hop, fruit and nut. Wow, these Fuller brews are so moreish............... thebeertourist (2799), Oslo, Norway
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 7, 2006 Bottle. Amber with a rich, big slightly yellowish head. Aroma is caramel and citrus, but also some yeastiness and roasted aromas. Starts with balanced sweet caramel, with good citrus bitterness gradually taking over. Medium-bodied, rather soft texture. Not very complex, but very drinkable. oldrtybastrd (1801), Morlautern, Germany/Great Falls, Montana, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 12, 2005 Bottled. Plain looking amber/brown beer with a well hopped aroma and a very dry, hopped flavour with a slight caramel feel. Overall a reasonable beer. spnkyoumuch (24), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Jun 28, 2005 I’m an IPA and APA fan and the last time I had this at a restaurant from a bottle, I enjoyed it very much. It’s well balanced with bitter, sweet, and hops. It has a fresh palate even from the bottle. Quite drinkable.
