Clear dark gold. Fizzy, off white edge head. Scant carbonation. Goldings aroma, buttery toffee and clean water. Brisk, hoppy and buttery with loads of Goldings and other Englishly floral hops. Slick yeast traits. Dry. Medium body. Crisp and quenching. Solid toffee malts balance the abundant hop bitterness. Finishes buttery, bitter and distinctively English. Love it.

Ótima cerveja IPA. A aparência é muito bonita, laranja turva, com espuma ambar de ótima formação. A garrafa é impecável. Cheiro muito bom de lúpulo aromático. Refrescante. amargor intenso e bem encaixado. Retrogosto longo. Aveludada.

Golden yellow going towards orange. Quite shimmering. Small white head that sticks around for a while. Some lacings. The smell is not as powerful as I had anticipated. Plenty of malts and butterscotch. Decent amount of floral and citric hop aromas. Some fresh carrots as well. There’s plenty of malts and sweet flavors in the taste. Quite bready. Butterscotch, toast, caramel. Tasty hop flavors - lemon peel and grapefruit. Some herbs and carrots. Slightly earthy. The bitterness in the finish has somewhat of a calming feel to it - quite restrained, yet still prominent. Some faint spices and a hint of mineral round everything of. Medium body. Plenty of carbonation. Still, it feels quite dull in the mouth. A refreshing English IPA - very easy to drink. But considering that it’s an IPA, it’s aromas and flavors are slightly too restrained, I think. The hop character could have been more pronounced, although English IPA:s usually don’t pack as much hops as the American ones do. Also, I think the diacetyl level is slightly too high in this one. But still, a good beer. Serving type: bottle (Copy of old Beer Advocate review)

2009-06-13 Tog en på hundpromenaden idag - passade fint, trots det stekande solen UTS: Mörk men genomskinlig, lätt skum S: gott.. 2009-07-24 (kort närminne) ... god smak, fin fräschös, medel besk, trpisk smak (någon slags frukt, här också). Draught (500 ml) at Opus K, Lohja, Finland. Clear deep golden colour with thin, almost no head. Very malty and bready aroma with some dry hoppiness. Dry hoppy flavour with some sourness and dry aftertaste. Rather thin and easy-to-drink.

slick and malty with a refined but adequate hop profile. refined bitterness and a touch of sweetness and of course that well blended and balanced fresh ale malt flavor that defines true British brewing. thoughts of fruit in the flavor and it could be taken as watery still, that clean caramel malt flavor makes this brew a good one!

Draught at Old Brick’s Inn, Jyväskylä. Copper color with small head. Very fruity aroma with biscuity and caramelly maltiness, fruity and slightly sweaty hops as well as notes of apricot. Rich flavor with fruity esters, resiny goldings hops and biscuity-caramelly malt in good balance. Firm bitterness. Smooth carbonation, slightly oily palate, medium body. This pint was in very good condition, rich and tasty.

Keg at Mallaskukko, Turku. Dark golden to copper, thin pale head. Quite basic bulky bitter aroma, little pear fruitiness and green apple, very mild herbs. Flavor is balanced mellow Goldings, spiciness, slight sweetish malts & balancing clean bitterness. Light to medium bodied, airy soft carbonation. Clean and harmless factory bitter, totally forgettable.
