Commercial Description:
Cask; Occasional.
India Pale Ale was originally created to refresh the troops at the height of the British Empire in India. This pale amber classic faithfully re-creates the traiditional characteristics of this historic product, well-hopped to leave a pleasant bitterness.

Cask: Orange-golden, small lacy off-white foam, solid dry hoppy nose, balanced by a distinctive juicy-malty background; robust - mainly dry - bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied; lingering dry hoppy finish, rounded by fruity-malty influences. Fine Fullers quality, as usual........

Cask at the Royal Standard, Croydon, Surrey, England on 29th September 2009. Amber colour with whitish head leaving a little lacing. Sweet, malty with hops quite moderate. Some fruitiness and a slightly sweet, textured finish on soft carbonation. Whilst not tasting like IPAs I have drunk in the States or elsewhere, it is nevertheless a reasonably drinkable strong ale.

Cask at the Brewery Tap, Brentford. Pours an amber-brown with a medium-large fine lacy white head. Malt on the nose along with peppery hops, the flavour is good and chewy, with a medium (for an IPA) to strong (for other Fullers beers) dry-bitterness, a prickly pepperiness, woody piney notes, a faint touch of citrus and a lingering bitter finish.

Actually very refreshing. Nice lacy head. Some good mouthfeel. Not particularly bitter. While not a classic it was a decent seasonal for sessioning.

Clear medium orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, moderate hoppy, citrus, resin, notes of butter. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, refreshing. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. (010508)

Cask at the Prince Blucher, Strawberry Hill, 23rd April 2008. Dark-ish copper in colour with a robust hoppy aroma. Toffee and brown sugar flavours are balanced by good hop bitterness and the result is a smooth, highly drinkable beer.
