Oct 4, 2009 Cask at the Royal Standard, Croydon, Surrey, England on 29th September 2009. Amber colour with whitish head leaving a little lacing. Sweet, malty with hops quite moderate. Some fruitiness and a slightly sweet, textured finish on soft carbonation. Whilst not tasting like IPAs I have drunk in the States or elsewhere, it is nevertheless a reasonably drinkable strong ale.

Sep 25, 2009 Cask at the Brewery Tap, Brentford. Pours an amber-brown with a medium-large fine lacy white head. Malt on the nose along with peppery hops, the flavour is good and chewy, with a medium (for an IPA) to strong (for other Fullers beers) dry-bitterness, a prickly pepperiness, woody piney notes, a faint touch of citrus and a lingering bitter finish.

May 31, 2008 Cask at the Prince Blucher, Strawberry Hill, 23rd April 2008. Dark-ish copper in colour with a robust hoppy aroma. Toffee and brown sugar flavours are balanced by good hop bitterness and the result is a smooth, highly drinkable beer.
