Commercial Description:
Cask; Occasional.
India Pale Ale was originally created to refresh the troops at the height of the British Empire in India. This pale amber classic faithfully re-creates the traiditional characteristics of this historic product, well-hopped to leave a pleasant bitterness.

Amber color; nice lacing. The aroma is a bit breadish and earthy. The flavor is quite malty, well structured, a bit yeasty. Quite bitter.

Cask, the cockney pub. Amber with a nice head. Fruit, earth, rust, long finish. Easy drinking but not one I’ll keep coming back to.

Cask. Dark golden colour with a small off-white head. Hoppy aroma and a bitter dry honey taste. Medium body and a light sweet dry finish.

Cask @ KØ 2005: Golden coloured. Clear. Almost no head. Aroma is fresh and mildly fruity. Some malts and hops are present. Flavour is light hoppy with a somewhat flowery undertone. Quite refreshing. Ends on a light bitter note. Find this to be a pleasant sessionbeer, that I could drink all night.

(Cask conditioned@St.Urho’s Pub, Helsinki) Slightly hazy light amber color with a medium, big-bubbled head. Mild but pleasant, aromatic-flowery-hoppy, caramely aroma. Aromatic-hoppy, but also bitter, slightly buttery and oaky flavor. Medium-bodied, slicky and bitter palate with flat carbonation. An enjoyable but quite plain IPA.

Cask @ Bishop on the Bridge, Winchester. Dry with moderate bitterness. Well balanced between earthy hops and malt.

Amber colour. Dusty English hop aroma. Quite earthy. Very dry and quite bitter with just a hint of hedgerow fruit. Lingering finish - dry tending towards tart. I found this a really agreeable drinking beer although, at the end of the day, perhaps just a touch one-dimensional. Bright bottled from cask at Reading Beer Festival 2005 nad stood up quite well to a few days in a plastic bottle..
