Bottle at home... Good copper colour ... deep fruity malt nose ... metallic malts ... reasonably fruity ... the hint of blackberry is there if you hunt for it ... metalic linger thats just a tinge drying.

Bottle 500ml (BBE 4 Nov 2008) from Waitrose, Christchurch. Interesting aroma - slightly sulphurous, with a hint of berries. Pours reddish amber with a small off-white head. I did not immediately detect berries in the flavour, but it left a lingering bitterness, along with a blackcurrant aftertaste (a bit like a blackcurrant flavoured Tune (if you can still buy them)), fading to a slight metallic taste. I found this ale to be quite thin, although it did have a good dryness about it. Conclusion: if you like full on flavours and a warming ale, I would recommend Fuller’s London Pride or Fuller’s Old Winter Ale rather than a Jack Frost.

Botttle. Pours a deep garnet colour beer. Nose of blackberries, sugar and malt. Taste is soemwaht dry and is followed by a sweet taste of balckberries to finish with a short dryness. I found it ok but not to be repeated too often.
