Commercial Description:
Bottled and (in USA) kegged - pasteurised.
Fuller’s London Porter captures the flavours of those original brews perfectly, although you won’t find a cloudy pint these days! Rich, dark and complex, at 5.4% ABV the beer has an outstanding depth of flavour.
It is brewed from a blend of Brown, Crystal and Chocolate malts for a creamy delivery balanced by traditional Fuggles hops. The range of flavours works well with a wide variety of foods, ranging from rich meat dishes, to oysters, and even chocolate puddings.

Bottle from Auchan, rather interesting that I can’t find this one easily in the UK, but is easy to get in Luxembourg! Dark brown, almost black, thin beige head. Nose is burnt malts, toasted, dark fruit, espresso, some dark chocolate. Mouth is dark chocolate, gently roasted malts some coffee. Slightly smoked. Very good, something I’d drink again, but nothing that makes me think ’wow’.

dark dark brown pour, slight head, tanish. dark fruits are abundant in the nose, along with small amounts of mocha. Its so fucking creamy. holy crap. incredible mouthfeel. Taste is a mirror of the aroma, mocha and dark fruits swirl around my tongue in a storm of creamy goodness. Second best can of beer ive ever had behind ten fidy. I love it.

Incredible. Best beer I have had so far, beat out my old fav Guinness. Pours a beautiful black with a thick creamy head, wonderful aroma and taste. Reminds me a lot like coffee. Not too expensive and a must try.

12 oz bottle. Pours absolutely black, almost no head whatsoever. Spotty lacing, but I’m drinking from a Trappist glass. Aroma and flavor dominated by chocolate and coffee. Very toasty. One of the best porter’s I’ve had (cheaper and better tasting than Sam Smith’s!) Definitely the best Fullers brew I’ve had.

Appearance of an imperial stout without the thickness. Aroma was roasted nuts, and cocoa. Flavor was excellent, with a strong blend of mocha and tart chocolate. The only thing this beer was missing was a thicker, chewier texture.

Bottle from 2006. Definite oxidation on the aroma and flavor. I need to get a fresh bottle for a re-rate.

Looks like Black Gold. Rich and complex. Here is a suggestion, try it in a cognac snifter, sounds strange, but I did this once and it actually brought out some subtle flavors..like cinnamon and hazlenut, and accented the chocolate tones. I love this stuff, definitely in my top five

Poured from a tap a dark brown. Wow this stuff is fantastic. Tastes a lot like a mocha blend coffee. This is the best porter that I have tried.
