Black pour with a reasonable head. Chocolate, coffee, slightly smokey, luxuriously complex. Much better than the bottled version. A stunning beer which I will always head for when I see it on cask. We have National ale week here in the UK. PJClarke (717), London, Greater London, England

Almost impenetrable darkness, with a lumpy beige foam that lasts all the way down.
Burnt chocolate and coffee aromas with hints of oak.
Amazing deep and oak smoked coffee flavours. Sweet honey roast ham and even some eucalyptus flavours.
Light and moussy in the mouth.
This is a super beer. Delicate and deep. Sweet and savoury. chimplechamp (465), Oslo, Norway
