Commercial Description:
Cask; Seasonal - Winter and Spring.
Smooth and satisfying, this example of an historic style of beer derives its rich, chocolatey character from a blend of Brown and Chocolate malts in the brew. Its notable coffee notes and creamy finish make it a wonderful accompaniment to many sweet foods – especially chocolate pudding. 5.4% ABV.

NOTE: Most Fuller's beer in the US is served by handpump kegs and not a cask. Ask your server.

Cask at The Wheatsheaf, Ealing, London. One of my all time favourites. Black pour with a reasonable head. Chocolate, coffee, slightly smokey, luxuriously complex. Much better than the bottled version. A stunning beer which I will always head for when I see it on cask. We have National ale week here in the UK.

Drinking this at the brewery tap as I type. On cask for national ask ale week. Almost impenetrable darkness, with a lumpy beige foam that lasts all the way down. Burnt chocolate and coffee aromas with hints of oak. Amazing deep and oak smoked coffee flavours. Sweet honey roast ham and even some eucalyptus flavours. Light and moussy in the mouth. This is a super beer. Delicate and deep. Sweet and savoury.

Lovely. More and more I find that I’m less a brit beer drinker, but this is marvelous. Rich, roasty, slightly bitter, all evenly balanced into a smooth, dry finish.
